Meet the instructor, Afolabi Emmanuel: Strategist, Coder, and Teacher.
I am **Afolabi Emmanuel**, the founder of Giftedhands. My passion lies in two fields that, at first glance, seem worlds apart: **competitive chess** and **software development**. But in reality, they are two sides of the same strategic coin.
As an active chess player, I live and breathe complex calculations, positional assessments, and disciplined planning. I've learned that success on the board is about **foresight**—thinking several moves ahead—and **resource management** (your pieces and time). I apply this strategic rigor to every lesson I teach, helping students build solid, deep plans, not just superficial tactics.
Professionally, I am a software developer specializing in modern web architecture and backend systems. Coding at a high level requires the same focus: debugging complex systems (analyzing errors), designing scalable architecture (long-term planning), and implementing clean solutions (disciplined execution). I teach students to think like architects, building their coding skills on a foundation of solid logic.
The core mission of Giftedhands is simple: **transferable mastery.** I don't just teach skills; I teach the mindset required to master any complex system, whether it’s a board game or a codebase. When you train with me, you learn to analyze problems systematically, prioritize variables, and execute solutions with confidence.
Dedicated to helping others achieve excellence on the board and in the digital world.
